According to Lao Dong's investigation, Ninh Binh provincial Gymnasium will not participate in organizing the first leg of the 2026 SEA V.League Women's Volleyball Tournament.
This year, Vietnam continues to be awarded the right to host one leg of the SEA V.League 2026 Women's Volleyball Tournament by the Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation is selecting a suitable location to grant the right to organize.
To be the host of the tournament, the venue must have a gymnasium facility that meets international standards. Vietnam has organized the legs of the SEA V.League Women's Volleyball Tournament in 2023, 2024 and 2025. In 2023 and 2024, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation coordinated with the Organizing Committee at Vinh Yen Gymnasium (Phu Tho) to host the tournament.
In 2025, the tournament will take place at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium (Ninh Binh) and fans will witness the Vietnamese women's volleyball team winning the championship.
According to the regulations of the Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation, this year the first leg of the women's division of SEA V.League 2026 takes place in Vietnam from July 31 to August 2. The second leg is held in Chiangmai (Thailand) from August 7 to September 8.
The women's event has 4 teams from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines participating, so the competition time is shorter than the men's event.
Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium is organizing the Hoa Lu Cup 2026 from March 18 to March 23. In the process of preparing for the SEA V.League 2026 tournament, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation is still organizing in the Northern region.
According to records, some locations in Vinh Yen (Phu Tho), Quang Ninh, Dong Anh (Hanoi) with facilities meeting Asian standards are expected to win the right to organize this year's tournament.
