The Vietnam Golf Association held the 5th Festival (2025-2030) on August 13 and 14 in Hanoi. During the working sessions, the Executive Committee of the 4th term assessed professional activities, successes and limitations. During the past term, Vietnamese golf has achieved many professional achievements and notably won a gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
President of the Vietnam Golf Association for the fourth term, Mr. Le Kien Thanh emphasized: "This Congress is an opportunity to look back on the past journey, evaluate the achievements and lessons learned; at the same time, set a new vision, develop professionally, be close to the community and integrate internationally".
Regarding personnel, the 5th Congress elected an Executive Committee of 53 members. Mr. Le Kien Thanh was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Golf Association for the 5th term. Mr. Vu Nguyen, General Secretary for the fourth term, continues to hold the role of General Secretary for the fifth term of the Association.
President Le Kien Thanh affirmed that the Vietnam Golf Association is committed to continuing to become a professional, transparent, and democratic organization, strongly promoting the development of the youth golf movement, improving the quality of coaching and referee training, and gradually making golf a popular sport, close to the community.
The Congress affirmed the determination to innovate management thinking, enhance organizational capacity, expand domestic and international cooperation, and enhance the position of Vietnamese golf on the regional and global sports map.
