After more than three months of focusing, the Vietnam men's volleyball team has concluded the first training period of 2025. This is an important stepping stone towards the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December in Thailand.
Under the leadership of coach Tran Dinh Tien, the team not only has practiced tactics but also accumulated practical experience through three major tournaments: the Asian Club Championship, AVC Nations Cup and SEA V.League 2025.
In the national team, Tran Duy Tuyen - a middle blocker born in 2001 is one of the pillars, shining with stable performance and convincing performances. At SEA V.League 2025, Duy Tuyen won a double of the title of "Best Middle Blocker" in both stages.
Not only did Duy Tuyen defend firmly with 10 blocks in the second leg, she was also in the top 3 athletes with the most points for the Vietnam team with a total of 35 points. He is also in the group of best middle blockers in the tournament.
At SEA V.League 2025, fans will witness a Duy Duyen perfecting each skill set, with the ingenuity of a middle blocker and the power - influence of a main blocker. The most notable point in Duy Tuyen's performance this time is the remarkable improvement in his serving skills.
From a position that is often known for blocking the net and coordinating quick counter-attacks, Duy Tuyen is gradually becoming a dangerous setter with a series of strong, powerful attack jumps. This is a big advantage if Duy Tuyen can develop this skill well.

Talking to Lao Dong, Duy Tuyen said: "For me, receiving the individual title twice at SEA V.League 2025 is a reward for my efforts and also a bit of luck.
In every match, I try to play to the best of my ability to achieve the best results. What I am most satisfied with this training session is the improvement in serving technique".
After the first training session, Duy Tuyen and her teammates had a rubric, learn from experience, and evaluate opponents in Southeast Asia to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of the year.
This middle blocker shared: "The strength of the teams in the region is not too different. In my opinion, Indonesia is still the strongest team. But if the Vietnam men's volleyball team has invested and prepared carefully, we have the opportunity to create a surprise at the 33rd SEA Games".
At the age of 24, Duy Tuyen is showing constant improvement in his playing style, from personal techniques to tactical thinking.
In the journey towards the SEA Games arena, individuals who are improving day by day like Duy Tuyen will be a great hope for Vietnamese men's volleyball.
