Once again, tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh successfully defended her number one position in the Vietnamese women's singles at the 2025 National Individual Badminton Championship.
In the final match of the women's singles event of the tournament held on August 16 at Dong Nai Stadium, Nguyen Thuy Linh (Dong Nai) defeated Tran Thi Phuong Thuy (Bac Ninh) 2-0 with the score of 22/20 and 22/20 to win the gold medal.
Last year, Nguyen Thuy Linh defeated Tran Thi Phuong Thuy in the women's singles final. The two players played again in this year's women's singles final but the results did not change.

This year's tournament attracted 154 athletes from 17 units competing in Dong Nai, competing for five sets of medals.
After the tournament, Nguyen Thuy Linh, Vu Thi Trang, Le Duc Phat, Nguyen Hai Dang, Tran Dinh Manh, Nguyen Dinh Hoang will go to France to participate in the 2025 World Championship.
