Badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh will go to India to compete in early 2026 to continue to increase her professional scores.

A representative of the Vietnam Badminton Team said that Nguyen Thuy Linh is in Vietnam to prepare professionally to return to compete internationally in January 2026.

The tennis player has registered to participate in the Indian Open International Badminton Tournament from January 13 to January 18, 2026. This tournament belongs to the BWF World Tour Super 750 level of world badminton, so it brings together many top faces to participate.

Nguyen Thuy Linh competed unconvincingly at the 33rd SEA Games and did not win a medal despite receiving high expectations from fans and experts.

This tennis player returned home from Thailand to prepare physically and professionally for the competition programs in early January 2026.

At the moment, Nguyen Thuy Linh is ranked 22nd in the world. In 2025, the tennis player at times rose to 17th place in the world thanks to international competition results. However, the tennis player has not won any championships in tournaments of BWF World Tour Super 300 level or higher.

In addition to the tournament in India, Nguyen Thuy Linh will prepare to participate in an international tournament in Indonesia at the BWF World Tour Super 500 level (the same January 2026).

At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam Badminton Team did not win any medals in the women's singles event, but we have 1 bronze medal in the women's doubles event.
