Female tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh has just set a new milestone in her career when she reached 18th place in the world, according to the rankings of the Badminton World Federation. This achievement comes from her impressive performance at the 2025 World Championship held in Paris (France).
In the women's singles event, Thuy Linh entered the round of 16 with the strongest players, thereby accumulating an additional 6,000 points, bringing the total accumulated score to 49,450. Thanks to that, the No. 1 tennis player in Vietnam increased by 4 levels, from 22nd to 18th - the best achievement in Thuy Linh's playing career.
In addition, Thuy Linh also holds 17th place on the tour system of the Badminton World Federation with 38,780 points. The stability in the performance of the tennis player from Phu Tho helps her continuously make her mark in major tournaments.
In the near future, Thuy Linh will compete in the Vietnam Open Badminton Tournament from September 9, 2025. In this tournament, Thuy Linh is holding a record with 3 consecutive championships.
If she successfully defends her championship title, she will have her 4th consecutive title, affirming her position in the domestic arena and continuing to create motivation for her journey to conquer new milestones.
