The billiards organizing committee at the 2025 World Games has announced 12 players who have won the right to participate in the men's 3-cushion carom event and Tran Quyet Chien has an official name.
Also participating in the painting are Jiale Qian (China), Luis Martinez (colomia), Erick Tellez (Costa Rica), Sameh Sidhom (Egypt), Jeremy Bury (France), Martin Horn (Germany), Myung Woo Cho (Korea), Jung Han Heo (Korea) Dick Jaspers (Netherlands), Tayfun Tasdemir (Türkiye), Pedro Piedrabuena (USA).
Before the competition started, the most notable athletes were world number one Myung Woo Cho (Korea) and world number two Dick Jaspers (Netherlands). In particular, the Dutch player is the reigning 3-cushion carom champion at the World Games.
The 2025 men's 3-cushion carom event will be competed from August 10 to August 14. Tran Quyet Chien of Vietnam is ranked fourth in the world. Our player will leave for China on August 8.
At the 2025 World Games, players will compete in the qualifying round on August 10 and 11, then branch up according to the rankings to continue the quarter-finals (August 12). The semi-final round will take place on August 13 and the championship final will be held on August 14.
Tran Quyet Chien participated in the 2017 World Games (stop in the quarterfinals) and the 2022 World Games (stop in the quarterfinals). This year, the goal of Vietnamese players is to compete for the highest result.
Currently, Tran Quyet Chien is participating in the Billiards Tournament of the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation (HBSF) phase 2 until August 5.
