On July 2nd, the Vietnam Athletics Federation organized a commendation ceremony for the gold medal achievements of the 4x400m men's and 4x400m women's relay teams at the 2026 Asian Relay Championships. The tournament recently ended in China.
At this tournament, the 4x400m men's relay team of the Vietnam Athletics Team won a gold medal with a time of 3 minutes 02 seconds 60.
At the same time, the achievement was recognized as a new national record.
In the women's 4x400m relay event, the athletes won the gold medal with a time of 3 minutes 31 seconds 16.
We appreciate the competition efforts of the relay athletes in the recent tournament.
These are also achievement indicators for athletes to understand their chances of competing in the next task, which is ASIAD 20 in September in Japan," said General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung.
The Vietnam Athletics Federation awarded each relay team winning a gold medal 50 million VND.
At the tournament, the men's 4x400m relay team included athletes Ta Ngoc Tuong, Vu Ngoc Khanh, Tran Dinh Son, Le Ngoc Phuc, and the women's 4x400m relay team included Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh.
Currently, the relay teams of the Vietnamese Athletics Team are training at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center to continue preparing for ASIAD 20.
