The number of events that Nguyen Thi Oanh participated in at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand is still kept confidential until now.
Head coach Nguyen Manh Hieu of the Vietnam Athletics Team currently training at the National High-level Athletes Training Center (Hanoi) said that each content team has built its own professional plan and all ensure that the athletes' spirit is stable and determined to compete in Thailand.
Currently, Nguyen Thi Oanh's content team is directly coached by coach Tran Van Sy. She and her teammates are in the stage of accumulating more endurance at the outdoor training site, so they are not training at the National High-level Athletes' Training Center (Hanoi).
At the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia, Nguyen Thi Oanh won gold medals in four distances including 1,500m, 3,000m hurdles, 5,000m and 10,000m. She became one of the best athletes at the 32nd SEA Games.
With the 33rd SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Oanh has the opportunity to achieve high results when ensuring her best physical condition.
The 33rd SEA Games Athletics will start on December 11 and end on December 15. The coaching staff of the Vietnam Athletics Team said that all teams will attend the technical meeting of the athletics on December 9 to grasp the final official competition schedule.
At the 2025 National Athletics Championship, Nguyen Thi Oanh won gold medals in 4 events. Currently, Nguyen Thi Oanh's top strength is still the women's 3,000m hurdles event.
