Meanwhile, athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa won the women's 42km marathon.
She won with a time of 2 hours 54 minutes 20 seconds. Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa won the gold medal at the 2025 National Marathon Championship with a time of 2:42 second.
On the same morning of competition on October 5, athlete Hoang Nguyen Thanh only finished 3rd in the men's 42km marathon with a time of 2 hours 30 minutes 58 seconds.
First place in the competition was Ethiopia athlete Ebisa Takele Kure (2:30:35) and second place was Kennedy Lilan (Kenya): 2 hours 30 minutes 28 seconds.
In the men's 21km half marathon, athlete Nguyen Trung Cuong finished first after completing the distance with a result of 1 hour and 10 minutes and 07 seconds.
In addition to the above events, the organizing committee also recorded the competition results in the 10km and 5km distances for men and women.
Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon 2025 attracted more than 13,000 athletes, including many international athletes, competing in 4 events including 42km marathon, 21km half marathon, 10km and 5km.
