Vietnamese players strive to win 3-4 gold medals at the Asian Youth Sports Festival

The Vietnamese sports delegation set a target of striving to win at least 3 gold medals at the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival (AYG).

Director of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet met to assign tasks to attend the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival to members of the Vietnam Sports Delegation on the afternoon of October 17.

Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet recognizes this as an important Congress, a playground of professional value, so each young face of Vietnam maintains the determination to achieve the best results, surpass oneself but must comply with the regulations set by the Organizing Committee.

The Vietnamese sports delegation attended the Congress with 75 members. In which, we sent 50 athletes and 15 coaches in 11 sports including badminton (1 player), jujitsu (5), boxing (3) judo (2), physical 4, athletics (2), golf (6), weightlifting 4, taekwondo (6), cycling (6), muay (4) to compete.

The congress will be held in Bahrain from October 22 to October 30. The Vietnamese sports delegation arrived in Bahrain on October 20.

Head of the Vietnamese sports delegation at this Congress - Mr. Dao Duc Kien said: "The preparation work of each athlete has been completed. This is an Asian youth arena with many fierce competitions.

However, this is also a playground for athletes towards the 2026 World Youth Olympics. The delegation members will strive to win 3 to 4 gold medals in Bahrain.
