The two defending national champion volleyball teams of Vietnam will have to decide to register to participate in the AVC Champions League 2026 with the Asian Volleyball Federation.

According to research, registration to participate in the 2026 Asian Club Volleyball Championship (AVC Champions League 2026) must be made in February 2026.

Vietnamese volleyball has 2 slots to participate in this tournament: Bien Phong MB (men's division) and VTV Binh Dien Long An (women's division).

Last year, Bien Phong MB team had a spot to participate in the AVC Champions League 2025 but did not participate. Therefore, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation sent the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team to participate in this tournament. For women, VTV Binh Dien Long An team competed and won the runner-up position in the AVC Champions League 2026.

In this year's professional plan, VTV Binh Dien Long An team is almost certain to register to continue participating in the AVC Champions League 2026, while Bien Phong MB team has not made a final decision.

It is possible that the Vietnam Volleyball Federation will continue to register the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team to replace the Bien Phong MB team to participate in the AVC Champions League 2026.

The Asian Volleyball Federation has announced the AVC Champions League 2026 women's event taking place in Goyan (South Korea) from April 26 to April 30. The men's event taking place in Pontianak (Indonesia) from May 13 to 17.

This is the time when teams in Vietnam finish round 1 of the 2026 National Championship, so they will have enough time to play in the AVC Champions League 2026 registered.

According to convention, the men's and women's champions of the Vietnam National Volleyball Championship are given official slots by the Asian Volleyball Federation to compete in the AVC Champions League.

VTV Binh Dien Long An and Bien Phong MB teams are currently the defending national champions of Vietnamese volleyball.
