The coaching staff of the Vietnam Shooting Team registered Trinh Thu Vinh to participate in the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship taking place from August 16 to August 30 in Kazakhstan. This is an important international tournament before the 33rd SEA Games by Trinh Thu Vinh.
The most recent Asian Shooting Championship took place in 2023 in Korea. At that time, Trinh Thu Vinh won the bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol event.
In addition to Trinh Thu Vinh, shooter Le Thi Mong Tuyen is also on the list of players competing in this year's Asian tournament. Last year, Trinh Thu Vinh (10m women's air gun) and Le Thi Mong Tuyen (10m women's air gun) competed in the 2025 Paris Olympics (France).

In the ranking of the International Shooting Federation (ISSF) announced in August 2025, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh ranked 8th in the women's 10m air pistol event. Shooter Oh Yejin (Korea) holds the number one position. This player will participate in the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship.
