The Organizing Committee of the 2025 National Youth Club Volleyball Tournament drew the men's and women's groups on August 29 and the death groups appeared in the women's event.
The eight women's teams participating in the tournament were drawn into two groups. Group C for women includes Ninh Binh, Duc Giang Chemicals, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, Hung Yen. Group D for women includes the Information Corps, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Vietinbank, Ho Chi Minh City.
Group D was considered a death group when there were three candidates for the championship of the Information Corps, Vietinbank and VTV Binh Dien Long An. In which, the Information Corps team is the defending champion, VTV Binh Dien Long An team is the champion in 2024 and Vietinbank team is ranked third in 2024.
This year, the goal of the Information Corps and VTV Binh Dien Long An is to reach the final match to compete for the championship. Last year, the Information Corps team beat Duc Giang Chemicals in the women's final. The Cong Tan Cang defeated Ninh Binh in the men's final.
Meanwhile, the men's event is expected to have exciting competitions in the group stage. Group A includes Tay Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Da Nang. Group B includes Hanoi team, Ho Chi Minh City Police, MB Border Guard and The Cong Tan Cang.
At the technical meeting on August 29, the teams were fully informed of the regulations on athlete registration and competition regulations for the tournament. The men's and women's teams will compete in the group stage from August 30 to September 4. After that, the quarter-finals for men and women will continue to take place to compete for tickets to the semi-finals. On September 10, the tournament will close.
