The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and specialized units are currently developing programs and scenarios for the Departure Ceremony for the Vietnam Sports Delegation. According to research, the Departure Ceremony is expected to be held at the end of November.
The 33rd SEA Games will take place in Thailand from December 9 to December 20 with 50 official sports. Vietnamese sports are expected to participate in 47 sports and sub-sports at this Congress.
Previously, at the reception of the first unit as a sponsor for the Vietnam Sports Delegation to attend the 33rd SEA Games, the General Secretary of the Vietnam Olympic Committee - Mr. Tran Van Manh said that Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department Nguyen Hong Minh is expected to take on the responsibility of Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games.
At this time, the number of official members of the Vietnam Sports Delegation participating in the 33rd SEA Games has been reviewed by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and reported to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Before each SEA Games, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with relevant units and assigns tasks to the Vietnam Physical Education and Sports Administration to organize the Departure Ceremony for the Vietnam Sports Delegation. This is a ceremony of great spiritual value for each coach and athlete before entering the official competition.
