Domestic coffee prices
Coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces today decreased sharply by VND2,500/kg compared to yesterday. Dak Lak and Dak Nong are currently trading at 129,000 VND/kg, while Lam Dong has decreased to 127,000 VND/kg.

The continuous decline in domestic coffee prices in recent days reflects pressure from the general trend in the global market, especially the price of Robusta coffee on the London exchange and Arabica coffee on the New York exchange, which are also losing growth momentum.
World coffee prices
On the ICE Futures Europe exchange, Robusta coffee prices fell sharply:
The contract for delivery in May 2025 decreased by 143 USD/ton, to 5,407 USD/ton.
The contract for delivery in July 2025 decreased by 137 USD/ton, to 5,369 USD/ton.
On the ICE Futures US, Arabica coffee prices are also under downward pressure:
The contract for delivery in May 2025 decreased by 8.90 cents/lb, to 375.90 cents/lb.
The contract for delivery in July 2025 decreased by 8.00 cents/lb, to 366.90 cents/lb.
Market analysis
As predicted by 12 traders and analysts participating in the Reuters survey, the coffee market is witnessing a weakening due to prices reaching too high in the past time, causing consumption demand to stagnate, according to Reuters.
In addition, the recovery of coffee inventories also creates more pressure on prices. Data shows that ICE's standard inventory has shown signs of increasing slightly after many weeks of sharp decline before. This has caused investors to continue to sell off to make a profit, causing coffee prices to fall sharply.
Regarding supply, the Brazilian Meteorological Agency said that rainfall in Minas Gerais - the country's largest Arabica growing area - last week only reached 11.4 mm, 76% lower than the historical average. However, this is not enough to support coffee prices, as the market is still under pressure from abundant supply, especially Robusta coffee output in Brazil is forecast to increase in the coming crop.
