Domestic pepper prices: Unstoppable slide
As of 12:30 today (11.), the domestic pepper market has decreased sharply, an average of 2,600 VND/kg. Currently, the pepper purchase price is recorded at 139,000 - 140,000 VND/kg.
Dak Nong is the province that recorded the biggest decrease in today's trading session, up to VND 4,000/kg, anchored at VND 139,000/kg.
Following that were the provinces of Gia Lai, Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, reducing by about 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg.
The purchase price in Dak Lak province today was made public at 140,000 VND/kg, down 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday (June 10).

World pepper prices: Rising prices in some regions
In the world market, pepper prices have turned green after a series of stable days. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Currently, these two items are listed at 7,508 USD/ton; increased by 0.95% (equivalent to 196,635 VND/kg); stable white pepper, listed at 10,142 USD/ton (about 265,619 VND/kg).
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l ranges from 6,300 - 6,400 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,300 USD/ton (equivalent to 243,567 VND/kg).
Notably, the Brazilian exchange unexpectedly increased slightly by 0.4%, reaching 6,175 USD/ton. Meanwhile, the Malaysian market continues to move sideways. Malaysia's white rice continues to hold the highest price globally at 11,850 USD/ton (equivalent to 310,352 VND/kg).

Assessment and forecast
According to statistics from Comexstat - an online system of the Brazilian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Services, Brazil's pepper exports in May 2025 reached 10,355 tons, with a turnover of 66.4 million USD. Compared to April 2025, exports decreased by 2%, but turnover increased by 10.3%. In May 2025, Vietnam will continue to be the main export market for Brazilian pepper, reaching 3,250 tons, down 34.9% compared to the previous month.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the total export volume of Brazilian pepper reached 44,003 tons, with a turnover of 272 million USD, compared to the same period in 2024, the export volume increased by 38.2% and the turnover increased by 129.1%. Brazil's pepper exports to Vietnam in the first 5 months of 2025 reached 16,755 tons, up 223.4% over the same period and accounting for 38.1% of the export market share.
According to experts, the export of Vietnamese pepper as well as pepper prices in the coming time will be in terms of supply and demand. Vietnamese pepper output is on the decline, farmers are proactively keeping pepper in warehouses, which will increase the market advantage to sell.
