Domestic pepper prices: Sharp decrease across the board
As of 11:30 today (September 30), the domestic pepper market suddenly decreased sharply, averaging 146,700 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 146,000 - 147,000 VND/kg.
The domestic market reversed sharply, currently the listed areas are as follows:
Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces today decreased by 1,500 - 2,000 VND/kg, purchasing at 146,000 VND/kg and 146,500 VND/kg respectively. This is also the lowest price zone in the country.
In the same direction, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak, Lam Dong sharply decreased by 3,000 VND/kg, all setting the mark of 147,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Mixed developments
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - "turned around" to increase by 0.56% and 0.57%. Currently, these two items are traded between 6,984 - 9,897 USD/ton (equivalent to 184,734 VND/kg - 261,786 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market held 6,500 USD/ton (about 171,932 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 13,000 USD/ton and 9,600 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,672 VND/kg).
