The National Scientific Conference with the theme "100 years of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press accompanying the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation" chaired by the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Committee for coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Journalists Association, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, People's Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television Station, National Political Publishing House.
The workshop was attended and chaired by Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang.
Attending and presiding over the workshop were the Party Central Committee members: Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department and Central Mobilization of Xuan Mon; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Deputy Head of Propaganda Department and Central Mobilization, Editor -in -chief of the People's Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh; Editor -in -chief of the Communist Magazine Hoang Trung Dung; Deputy Head of Propaganda Department and Central Committee of Huynh Thanh Dat.
Also attending were leaders of agencies, departments, experts, scientists, journalists, and veteran journalists.
Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department said that this is one of the activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21,25 - June 21, 2025), contributing to encouraging and motivating the team of journalists to continue promoting the glorious tradition, constantly striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges, maintaining political will, innovation, creativity, shock, and pioneering on the front of ideology, culture...
The workshop was attended by leaders of the Party and State, representatives of leaders of departments, ministries, branches, and central agencies; leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and more than 400 delegates who are experts, scientists, and central and local press agencies.
The workshop aims to affirm the great contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press to the glorious cause of the Party and the nation through historical stages.
This is also a scientific forum for experts, scientists, generations of journalists, leaders and managers of the press to exchange and discuss theoretical and practical issues on the history of the formation and development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press; thereby, drawing experience, proposing directions and solutions for press development to effectively serve the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new era.
The Organizing Committee of the Workshop said that the Workshop received 100 presentations from experts, scientists, researchers, journalists, leaders, and managers of journalism, deepening the scientific and practical significance of the event of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.
The main groups of contents mentioned are: Revolutionary press accompanying the nation in the struggle for national independence (1925-1945); Vietnamese revolutionary press accompanying the nation in the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, making an important contribution to the victory of the people's democratic revolution and national reunification;
Vietnamese revolutionary press accompanies the nation in building socialism nationwide and in the period of innovation and integration; New context, advantages, difficulties and problems for Vietnamese revolutionary press; Solutions for building and developing Vietnamese revolutionary press in the new era.
