Together with colleagues and scientists in the Vietnam Geological Association, Professor Phan Truong Thi - former Vice Principal of Hanoi University - came here to express her condolences and condolences to the family of former President Tran Duc Luong.

In the sharing of Professor Phan Truong Thi, former President Tran Duc Luong is a friend, colleague and has many close memories from the early days of the Vietnamese geological industry.
"With the deep friendship, I have 2 very big, very deep memories with Mr. Tran Duc Luong. That is the relationship between scientists and people working in state management" - Professor Thi shared.
After a few minutes of suyving, Professor Thi recalled that from 1985 to 1990, he was a PhD in science and a teacher at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Mr. Thi was then the presiding judge for the implementation of the state-level scientific topic on researching the establishment of scientific facilities for assessing the potential of the nuclear industry.
During that research period, Mr. Thi discovered a radioactive mine in Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province. At that time, Mr. Thi called comrade Tran Duc Luong (at that time in his position as Director General of the General Department of Geology) to discuss some related work and suggested sending a team of aircraft there to discover the radio mines.
As a result, a fleet of aircraft was dispatched there and discovered an uranium mine - one of the largest radioactive mines in our country and the region.
Referring to the second anniversary, Professor Phan Truong Thi recalled in May 1993, when Mr. Thi represented Hanoi University to cooperate with Paris 6 University in France, participating in a survey to search for oil and gas in the East Sea.
"During that working trip, the crew's boat had a broken engine. After that, I called Mr. Tran Duc Luong (currently Deputy Prime Minister) to discuss information about allowing the ship to be repaired. We received help from the Deputy Prime Minister and a few days later, our ships were repaired and continued to research" - Professor Thi recalled.
It is a deep relationship, care, closeness and trust between those working in state management and those working in scientific research - Professor Phan Truong Thi continued and expressed his infinite condolences for the eternal passing of former President Tran Duc Luong.
Sharing memories with former President Tran Duc Luong, Professor Phan Truong Thi recalled the years with her friends who accompanied and grew up in the Vietnamese geological industry. From the early difficult days until now, the geological industry has become one of the very important sectors and fields in the country's development.

Geologists, including former President Tran Duc Luong, took the first steps to give us a comprehensive geological map that is now known to both domestically and internationally - Professor Thi shared.
