The Government Inspectorate said that there are 280 vacant and unused houses and land facilities in Lam Dong.

On August 24, the Government Inspectorate publicly announced the Conclusion of the inspection of redundant houses and land after arrangement in Lam Dong province.

In which, regarding the current status of management, use, and exploitation of surplus houses and land, the Government Inspectorate clearly pointed out:

There are 280 houses and land facilities with a total land area of 641.837.95 m2 left vacant and unused, which is a violation of the provisions of Clause 2, Article 6 of the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets in 2017.

There are 6 establishments temporarily assigned for use, with a total land area of 8,302.1 m2, which is not in accordance with the form of handling when arranging houses and land according to regulations.

There are 142 establishments, land area of 289.185.2 m2 in the handover dossier without records of public assets for agencies and organizations assigned to manage, which is a violation of regulations.

There are 388 establishments in the dossier without current status inspection records.

There are 219 establishments, with a land area of 4379.05 m2, when handed over, the value of land use rights has not been determined.

There are 17 establishments of houses and land that have not properly implemented the principles of management and use of public assets in the process of management and declaration; of which 8 establishments have fluctuated to increase land area (up 2,586.2 m2), 9 establishments have fluctuated to reduce land area (down 10,784.97 m2), violating the provisions of Clause 2, Article 5 of Decree No. 03/2025/ND-CP.

8 units assigned headquarters exceeding standards and norms are violating the provisions of Article 4 of Decree No. 155/2025/ND-CP.

Through inspection of 10 houses and land facilities in Lam Dong province, some shortcomings, limitations, and main violations were found such as: Some houses and land facilities were left vacant, not used for many years, and did not carry out arrangement and handling procedures according to regulations, causing assets to degrade and be damaged; Approving plans without fully reviewing the usage needs of agencies and units, failing to prove compatibility with functions, standards, and norms (typically the conversion of the old Binh Thuan Department of Industry and Trade headquarters);...

From the inspection results, the Government Inspector General requested the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to urgently direct the review and thorough handling of changes in the surplus land area after the merger; accelerate the progress of surveying, preparing cadastral records and completing complete legal documents for each establishment;

Completely implement the approved handling plans, especially those facilities that are vacant and not in use; prioritize arranging and transferring assets to the right objects, standards, and norms; organize inspections and examinations of houses and land facilities that have been planned for handling and exploitation but are slow to put into use, avoiding prolongation and waste of state resources.
