On April 17, Mr. Luu Van Trung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Council signed and issued the Conclusion of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the plan to reorganize and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the province.
Accordingly, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee oriented to arrange the current 71 commune-level administrative units into 28 new administrative units, reducing the number of commune-level units by 60.57%.
The Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Party Delegation is responsible for directing the reception of opinions from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to develop and complete a detailed project on the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units; organize the collection of opinions from the People and relevant agencies and organizations in accordance with regulations.
After fully synthesizing comments, the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee will complete the project and submit to the Provincial Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee for comments, before submitting to the provincial People's Council for consideration and voting for the Government, ensuring the progress as required.
During the process of developing and completing the Project, it is necessary to continue to carefully study the names and political and administrative centers at the commune level after the merger, ensuring systematicity, science, and conformity with the historical, traditional and cultural factors of each locality.
The new administrative center needs to have a favorable geographical location, ensuring connectivity with areas inside and outside the commune to facilitate people in handling work, meeting the requirements of national defense and security.
The Party Delegation of the Provincial People's Committee also needs to direct the overall review of the headquarters system and facilities of district and commune-level administrative agencies, thereby having a reasonable arrangement and arrangement plan to avoid wasting resources.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee assigned the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee to monitor, urge and coordinate the appraisal of the Project on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Dak Nong province.
The complete project will be submitted to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee after consulting with the People and relevant agencies and units, before being submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration, voting and sent to the Central Committee before May 1, 2025.
