The Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee has just held a conference to disseminate a number of contents when ending district-level activities, establishing new communes and wards and implementing the 2-level local government model.
Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan once again affirmed the determination of the Central and the province in ending district-level activities, establishing new communes and wards and implementing the 2-level local government model.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee has basically agreed with the key personnel plan for the new communes and wards according to the Project of the District Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Town Party Committees.
Immediately after the conference, the District Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Town Party Committees were required to closely review and ensure sufficient quantity and standards, especially the capacity, experience, and working skills of each cadre, prioritizing female cadres, young cadres, and information technology cadres for allocation and reasonable arrangement, and send them to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for approval before June 15, 2025.
Bac Ninh plans to pilot the 2-level local government model from June 15 and officially from July 1, 2025.
The Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee requested that heads of units, localities and each cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker in the province must not be subjective, negligent but also not panic or waver, must clearly identify their responsibilities before the Party and the people, uphold the sense of responsibility, and strive to fulfill assigned tasks well.
In particular, it is noted that departments directly handling administrative procedures for people and businesses should not let interruptions.
The new communes and wards will arrange enough facilities and the best working conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
The relevant departments and branches will soon organize thematic training to improve professional qualifications and work handling skills for the new commune and ward cadres.
According to the Project on reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Bac Ninh province in 2025, Bac Ninh province plans to reduce from 121 commune-level administrative units to 41, including 20 wards and 21 communes.
According to the Project to reorganize Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, the two provinces of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang will be merged and renamed Bac Ninh province, the administrative center will be located in the current Bac Giang city. The new Bac Ninh province will have a total of 99 communes and wards; population of 3,619,433 people.
