On the afternoon of August 20, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Working Group No. 2 and No. 3 of the Politburo chaired by Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man worked with representatives of the Provincial Party Standing Committees of Son La, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Lang Son provinces to give opinions on the draft documents and personnel plans for the Party Committee to submit to the Party Congresses of the provinces for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia. Also attending were Politburo members: Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.
Also attending were the Secretaries of the Party Central Committee: Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri; General Trinh Van Quyet - Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Representatives of the leaders of the Central Party Committees, the Central Party Office and a number of central ministries and branches.
At the working session, the Working Groups listened to and gave opinions on the Draft main documents submitted to the Provincial Party Congresses for the 2025 - 2030 term, including: Political report, Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Project on personnel at the Party Committee level for the 2025 - 2030 term, and draft Resolution of the Congress.
In general, the draft documents have been comprehensively evaluated by the provinces in the results achieved in the past 5 years, frankly pointing out limitations, causes and drawing lessons. The orientation, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 period demonstrate the spirit of political determination, development vision, identification of key tasks and development breakthroughs, basically grasping and concretizing major policies and orientations in draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and resolutions of the Central Committee and the Politburo recently issued.
Speeches by Politburo members and Secretariat members basically agreed with the draft documents of the provinces, clarifying outstanding results, limitations, and supplementing to clarify the potential and strengths of each locality, supplementing strategic orientation in the new period and setting requirements for each locality; Proposing the provinces to study and absorb maximum opinions to complete the documents submitted to the Congress.
According to the Program, on August 21, 2025, the Politburo will work with representatives of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
