On the evening of August 19, information from the Central Party Office said that on the morning of August 19, 2025, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Working Group No. 3 of the Politburo chaired by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man worked with the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
The Politburo's Working Group No. 4 chaired by Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu worked with the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
Attending the meeting were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Party Central Committee Secretaries: Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung, General Trinh Van Quyet - Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
At the working session, the Working Groups listened to and gave opinions on the draft Resolution submitted to the Congress focusing on the theme, structure, and content of the report; Draft Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee, mainly on the seriousness and fighting spirit in self-criticism and criticism of the Party Committee; on innovation of leadership content and methods; good experiences and new approaches in leadership and direction of the Party Committee...
At the same time, give opinions on the Party Committee's personnel project, mainly on the personnel preparation process, the number of executive committees, standing committees and on standards and structure compared to the regulations in Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Politburo.
Concluding the working sessions, Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results that the Party Committees of provincial and municipal Party Committees have achieved in recent times.
Highly appreciated the preparation steps that have been implemented methodically, scientifically, and thoroughly by the provincial and municipal Party Committees, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and high determination of the collective of the Party Executive Committee of the provincial and municipal Party Committees.
Comrades suggested that the provincial and municipal Party Committees absorb the opinions participated in the working sessions, the comments of the agencies to complete the content of the documents. In particular, it is noted that the orientations in the coming term must closely follow the major orientations of the Central Government and be placed in the context of the overall development of the country, especially new opportunities and fortunes when implementing the 2-level local government model.
At the same time, draw in-depth experience from the limitations that have been pointed out to have timely and effective solutions to prevent and overcome them in the coming term. Focus on building an action program to implement the Congress Resolution, with appropriate groups of tasks and solutions, feasible roadmaps; ensure the successful implementation of the Congress's goals and targets, and soon put the Congress Resolution into practice.
Focus on propaganda work before, during and after the congress, ensuring that the congress is an extensive political activity of the locality in the entire political system and creating an exciting atmosphere among the people.
According to the Plan, the Politburo will work with the Party Committees directly under the Central Committee to give opinions on the draft documents and the Party Committee's personnel plan before holding the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term in the spirit of Directive No. 45-CT/TW, dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party to ensure the success of Party Congresses at all levels.
It is expected that the time will be arranged for the Politburo and the Working Groups to continue giving opinions on the preparation for the congress of the Party Committees under the Central Committee until September 15, 2025.
The time to hold the central party congress is to complete before October 31, 2025.
