On the evening of 2.6, the Ministry of Public Security said, based on Article 46 of Decree No. 98/2023/ND-CP of December 31, 2023 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Reward, the Ministry of Public Security organized a collection of people's opinions on the consideration and reward for 3 officials.
In which, it solicited opinions on awarding the Second Class Military Exploit Order to Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi Police.
Awarding the title of National Emulation Fighter for the period 2017 - 2025 to Colonel Van Duc Giao - Head of the Department of Training and Enhancement Management of the People's Security University; Colonel Ngo Nhat Phong, Head of the Faculty of Economic Security of the People's Security University.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, all comments from the people on the consideration of commendation for the above 3 officers should be sent to the mailbox: hoidapphapluat@mps.gov.vn within 10 days, from June 2.
Among the three individuals above, Director of Hanoi Police Nguyen Thanh Tung was born in 1968, and has held many positions in the People's Public Security force.
In 2018, while holding the position of Chief of the Bac Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) with the rank of Colonel, Mr. Tung was appointed as Deputy Director, Head of the Hanoi Police Investigation Agency.
In 2021, Mr. Tung was promoted to the rank of Major General.
