On October 9, Ca Mau province held a summary of 8 years of implementing Resolution 18 on streamlining the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient.
To date, the whole province has reduced 8,399 positions compared to 2017, reaching a rate of 17.5%. After the merger, the province reduced 110 administrative organizations (departmental level) and public service units under the department.
The implementation of policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers affected during the reorganization process has been implemented promptly and humanely: 2,944 people have had decisions to retire. In addition, 675 cadres, civil servants, and part-time workers at the commune level have also retired.

The arrangement and consolidation of the organization has achieved many outstanding results: the provincial Party sector: reduced 7 specialized agencies, advised and assisted the Provincial Party Committee; reduced 43 departments and internal offices; 4 affiliated public service units and ended the operation of 22 Party Executive Committees and Party Delegations. Provincial Government sector: reduces 26 departments, branches, sectors and equivalents; reduces 213 internal organizations (departments, branches, and branches). The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province: reduce 6 agencies and 59 internal organizations.
Regarding the arrangement of administrative units, the whole province has reduced 101 commune-level administrative units, from 165 units to 64 (including 9 wards, 55 communes). At the grassroots level, 72 hamlets and villages will be reduced through mergers and consolidations. To date, 100% of hamlets and quarters (1,395/1,395) have party organizations, 93.4% of hamlet and quarry heads are party members.
The team of cadres, civil servants and public employees from the province to the commune has initially adapted to the work handling process, promoted a sense of responsibility in performing tasks; quality and efficiency have been improved. The consolidation of the organizational apparatus, arrangement, assignment of cadres, civil servants and public employees must basically ensure strictness, objectivity, compliance with procedures, regulations, publicity, transparency and timeliness.

With the motto: "Refined must be better than before, spoken along with done, united and serve the People" to meet the requirements of "streamlining, compactness, strength, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency" in reorganizing the apparatus, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai requested Party committees, organizations, agencies and units in the political system to continue to thoroughly grasp, raise awareness, create unity in will and action in implementing innovation, reorganizing the political system, meeting the support and expectations of the people; continue to review, reorganize, and perfect the apparatus, especially reorganize grassroots cadres to meet the requirements of tasks; pay attention to investing in completing facilities, equipment, having appropriate mechanisms and policies to create conditions for cadres to work with peace and security.
To effectively operate the two-level government, meeting the requirements of the set tasks, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai suggested that all levels and sectors must be more determined and made more efforts in innovating and streamlining the organization of the political system to operate effectively and efficiently, contributing to achieving the growth target in 2025 and the next period, making our country a high-income developed country by 2045 according to the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.
