On January 9, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and political schools across the country held a national conference to review the work of political schools in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025, according to VNA.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council - chaired and delivered a speech at the conference.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, 12 localities in 2024 made great efforts to direct the completion of the construction of standard level 1 political schools and most of these schools reached the finish line 1 to 2 years earlier than the project target.
Training and development work has been carried out in a very rich and diverse manner. In particular, scientific research and practical summaries have had many positive changes. Political schools have had hundreds of topics and seminars at the provincial and ministerial levels; some schools have carried out up to 4 provincial topics in a year and these studies all started from local practices.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics proposed that by 2025, schools continue to synchronously and comprehensively innovate all aspects of political school work to meet standardization requirements.
Strive and be determined to build a system of Party schools with "identity, modernity, integration, and pioneering"; become a "red address" for training and fostering cadres; a place that crystallizes the best values of a model Party school in the locality.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said that the students at political schools are both cadres with professional qualifications and very good at practice. Therefore, it is necessary to make the cadres trained at Party schools understand the Party and State's guidelines, policies and strategies; have the mindset, vision and skills to handle situations arising in leadership and management activities.
The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics requested the Standing Committee and Standing Committees of provincial and municipal Party Committees to pay close and regular attention to leadership and direction and to identify this as the highest-ranking Party school in the locality, not just the school's story.
For schools that have met level 1 standards, it is necessary to urgently review, adjust, and issue projects and plans for level 2 standards; carefully review and clearly define specific groups of indicators. Level 2 standards aim to build a truly exemplary political school, the province's leading and only center for training and fostering.
In 2025, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics will organize the 9th National Excellent Lecturer Competition for Political Schools in Hai Phong. It is recommended that political schools seriously implement the Competition from the grassroots level to select the best lecturers to participate in the National Competition.
According to the report, in 2024, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics took the lead in implementing activities to promote the construction of standard political schools according to Regulation No. 11-QD/TW.
To date, out of a total of 2,648 political school officials and employees nationwide, there are 234 PhDs, 296 postgraduates (in 2024, 90 lecturers were sent to study for postgraduates), 1,961 masters, 1,913 lecturers with advanced political theory qualifications, 35 senior lecturers, and 1,174 main lecturers.
Many provincial and municipal Party Committees have agreed on the policy of bringing all training and fostering classes for cadres to political schools, building the schools into the only training and fostering centers for cadres in the locality.
