The Standing Secretariat requested to urgently implement the merger of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization and the Central Propaganda Department; propose a scientific arrangement and streamlining plan.

On January 9, in Hanoi, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization held a national conference to review mass mobilization work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025, according to VNA.

Speaking at the conference, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu suggested that in 2025, the Mass Mobilization sector needs to continue to thoroughly grasp the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party's viewpoints and the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the recent working session on mass mobilization work.

Realizing the special importance and the need to strongly innovate mass mobilization work on par with the tasks in the new revolutionary stage to promote people's strength, the strength of great national unity, and bring the country firmly into the new era.

The Standing Secretariat requested to improve the effectiveness of implementing the Regulations on mass mobilization work of the political system; affirm the responsibility, exemplary role, and leadership of the entire Party, the entire political system, and each cadre and party member, especially the heads of Party committees and authorities, in implementing mass mobilization work.

The People's Committees at all levels actively advise, strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of Central regulations on people's work.

In addition, it is necessary to continue to innovate methods of mobilizing people; closely follow localities and grassroots levels, grasp the situation; create many channels and mechanisms to capture information, thoughts, aspirations and feedback with the motto "respecting people, being close to people, understanding people, learning from people, being responsible to people".

Leaders and heads at all levels must regularly contact, dialogue, listen, and promptly resolve people's concerns, especially complaints, waste, negativity, and corruption.

Along with doing a good job of mass mobilization in ethnic minority areas, religious people, key areas of national security and defense, in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas, and firmly grasping the situation of our compatriots abroad, the whole sector actively transforms digitally, applies information technology in mass mobilization work, and promotes mass mobilization work in cyberspace, through e-government, digital society and digital citizens.

The Mass Mobilization Sector actively carried out organizational tasks to serve the 14th National Party Congress; enhanced the grasp of people's thoughts, aspirations and opinions on Party congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress; launched extensive political activities before, during and after the Congress, creating a joyful atmosphere, solidarity and creativity among the people.

The Standing Secretariat requested that the policy of merging the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization and the Central Committee for Propaganda and Education continue to be implemented urgently and seriously; propose a plan for scientific arrangement and streamlining, ensuring progress; develop and implement the 2025 work program immediately after the merger.

"The streamlining of the organization and apparatus goes hand in hand with the restructuring of the staff with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige to meet the requirements of strategic advice for the Party in the field of mass mobilization," the Standing Member of the Secretariat emphasized.
