On September 4, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province organized the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress, 2025-2030.
The Congress was attended by comrades: Quan Minh Cuong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Hai Hoa - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council, leaders of departments, branches, sectors and typical advanced delegates.
In his opening speech, comrade Le Hai Hoa emphasized: In the 2021-2025 period, the patriotic emulation movement has become an important driving force, creating positive changes in socio-economic development.
Thousands of households have voluntarily handed over the land for the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project; the poverty rate has decreased by an average of 4.29%/year; nearly 20,000 houses for poor and near-poor households have been repaired and rebuilt, contributing to the basic elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
Emulation movements also contribute to maintaining national defense and security, improving the quality of administrative reform, building a clean and strong political system.
The Congress set a target for the 2026-2030 period: an average GRDP growth rate of 10%/year or more; budget revenue increases by 12%/year; reduces the rate of poor households to over 3%/year; by 2030, the average income per capita will reach 75 80-85 million VND/year; about 36% of communes meet new rural standards and over 90% of communes have a People's Happiness Index of 90 points.
In his speech, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Minh Cuong called on all cadres, party members, armed forces, businesses and people of the Cao Bang ethnic group to continue promoting the spirit of patriotic emulation, associated with key tasks.
In particular, developing sustainable transport infrastructure, tourism, border gate economy, and private agriculture associated with forest protection. Reward work must be timely, fair, focus on direct employees, at the same time replicate advanced models, spread "good people, good deeds" throughout society.
On this occasion, the Party Committee, government and people of Cao Bang province were awarded the 3rd Class Labor Medal by the President for their outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, ensuring security and defense in ethnic minority and border areas, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
On the same day, Cao Bang province announced and awarded emulation and reward titles; awarded prizes for the Writing Contest " good people, good deeds, typical advanced examples".
