Regulations on increasing monthly allowances for demobilized, discharged, and retired soldiers take effect on November 1, 2024.
The Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 53/2024/TT-BQP dated September 17, 2024 regulating the adjustment of monthly allowances for soldiers and people working in secretarial work who receive salaries similar to those for soldiers who have been demobilized, discharged, or quit their jobs.
Adjust the monthly allowance for June 2024 by 15% for the following subjects:
Demobilized and discharged soldiers are receiving monthly allowances according to the provisions of Decision 142/2008/QD-TTg dated October 27, 2008; Decision 38/2020/QD-TTg dated May 6, 2010.
Military personnel and people working in secretarial work receive salaries similar to those of demobilized, discharged, or retired military personnel who are receiving monthly allowances according to the provisions of Decision No. 62/2022/QD-TTg dated November 9, 2011.
Accordingly, the monthly allowance after being adjusted to increase is specifically as follows:
From 15 years to under 16 years, the subsidy level is 2,628,000 VND/month;
From 16 years to under 17 years, the subsidy level is 2,746,000 VND/month;
From 17 years to under 18 years, the subsidy level is 2,868,000 VND/month;
From 18 years to under 19 years, the subsidy level is 2,988,000 VND/month;
From 19 years to under 20 years, the subsidy is 3,105,000 VND/month.
Insulting the honor of a person with litigation authority is subject to a fine of up to 30 million VND.
Decree 117/2024/ND-CP dated September 18, 2024 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 82/2020/ND-CP dated July 15, 2020 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the fields of judicial assistance; judicial administration; marriage and family; civil judgment enforcement; bankruptcy of enterprises and cooperatives, officially takes effect from November 15, 2024.
Decree amends and supplements the fine from 15 million VND to 30 million VND for acts of insulting the honor, dignity, and reputation of competent persons conducting proceedings.
The subjects of sanctions are law practice organizations, socio-professional organizations of lawyers, and foreign law practice organizations in Vietnam.
For the above-mentioned acts, the Decree supplements the revocation of the right to use the lawyer's practice certificate or lawyer's practice license in Vietnam from 6 to 9 months.
Form of supervision of traffic police on duty
From November 15, Circular 46/2024/TT-BCA amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 67/2019/TT-BCA dated November 28, 2019 of the Minister of Public Security regulating the implementation of democracy in ensuring traffic order and safety officially takes effect.
Notably, the Circular amends and supplements Article 11 "Forms of people's supervision". In which, people are supervised through the following forms: Access to public information of the police force and on mass media; through supervisory entities as prescribed by law; direct contact and settlement of work with officers and soldiers; results of settlement of cases, petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections; direct observation of the work of ensuring traffic order and safety.
In addition, people's supervision must ensure the following conditions: Not affecting the activities of officers and soldiers while performing official duties; not entering the prescribed areas of official duty, except for those with related rights and obligations; complying with other relevant legal provisions.
