On April 28, the People's Council of Cao Bang province, term XVII, 2021-2026, held the 30th Session (special session) to review, comment on and approve a number of important resolutions in the fields of law, economy - budget.
At the session, the delegates unanimously approved three resolutions:
Arrange commune-level administrative units: Merge 161 existing units in 10 districts and cities to establish 56 new units (53 communes, 3 wards), reducing 105 units compared to before.
2025 budget allocation: Add 450.088 billion VND to implement the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, of which 82.673 billion VND will be allocated to the provincial level, 367.415 billion VND will be allocated to the district and city levels.
The conference also voted to remove comrade Hoang Thi My Hao, former Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (due to retirement).

Concluding the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Trieu Dinh Le emphasized that the resolutions have closely followed the Central's policies, in line with local realities, contributing to streamlining the apparatus, improving operational efficiency, and promoting socio-economic development.
He requested the Provincial People's Committee to urgently complete the arrangement project to submit to the Government before May 1, 2025, arrange cadres after the merger appropriately, handle assets transparently, ensure continuous and effective government operations at all levels.
The People's Council of Cao Bang province also proposed to strengthen coordination, propagate and mobilize people to agree to implement the resolutions; requested the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to proactively supervise and propose solutions to put the resolutions into practice, promote local development.
