On February 3, the National Assembly Office informed that the 42nd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place from February 5-7, 2025.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the draft Law on Government Organization (amended), the Law on Organization of Local Government (amended) and two draft Resolutions of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term; Resolution of the National Assembly on the structure and number of Government members for the 15th National Assembly term.
These contents will be submitted by the Minister of Home Affairs on behalf of the Government and reported for review by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee.
At the meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee will also give opinions on the draft Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents (amended) and the draft Resolution of the National Assembly to resolve issues arising in legal provisions related to organizational arrangement.
Also on legislative work, the National Assembly Standing Committee will consider the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly and 3 drafts: Resolution of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the National Assembly's specialized agencies; Resolution of the National Assembly on the number of members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee (amended); Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the specific tasks, powers and organizational structure of the National Assembly's specialized agencies.
In addition, the National Assembly's standing body will consider and adopt a number of resolutions to implement the Law on Organization of People's Courts in 2024, including: Draft Resolutions on ranks, conditions of each rank, upgrading ranks and the number and proportion of People's Court Judges; Resolution amending and supplementing a number of contents of Resolution No. 1212/2016/UBTVQH13 and Resolution No. 730/2004/UBTVQH11 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on approving the salary table for positions and allowances for positions of State leaders; Salary table for professional and technical work in the court and prosecution sectors; promulgating the Regulations on the operation of the National Council for Selection and Supervision of Judges.
At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft: Law on Teachers; Law on Chemicals (amended); and consider the report on the National Assembly's public petition work in January.
The National Assembly Standing Committee will consider and approve the draft Resolution on principles, criteria and norms for allocating public investment capital from the state budget for the 2026-2030 period; the resolution approving the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy on the organization of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
