The Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution was passed by the National Assembly on the morning of June 16, with 100% of National Assembly deputies present pressing the button to approve (470 deputies). This Resolution takes effect from the date of promulgation.
In which, the resolution amends and supplements the direction that the Vietnam Fatherland Front is an organization of political alliances, voluntary unions of political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations and outstanding individuals in all classes, social classes, ethnic groups, religions, and overseas Vietnamese.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front is part of the political system of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam; is the political basis of the people's government; gathers and promotes the strength of national solidarity.

The Vietnam Trade Union, the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Women's Union, and the Vietnam Veterans' Association are socio-political organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, established on the basis of voluntariness, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and association members.
Socio-political organizations are organized and operate together within the Vietnam Fatherland Front; together with other member organizations of the Democratic Trade Front, coordinate and unify actions chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front, its member organizations and other social organizations operate within the framework of the Constitution and the law. The State creates conditions for the Vietnam Fatherland Front, member organizations of the Front and other social organizations to operate.
Amend and supplement Article 10 as follows: Vietnam Trade Union is a socio-political organization of the working class and of workers; represents, cares for and protects the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Vietnam Trade Union is the only representative of workers at the national level in labor relations and international relations with trade unions; participating in state management and socio-economic management.
Participating in inspecting, inspecting, and supervising the activities of state agencies, organizations, units, and enterprises on issues related to the rights and obligations of workers; propagating and mobilizing workers to study, improve their qualifications and professional skills, comply with the law, build and defend the Fatherland.
Amend and supplement Clause 1, Article 84 as follows: The President, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committee, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Audit, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the central agency of the socio-political organization have the right to submit the draft law to the National Assembly, submit the draft Ordinance to the National Assembly Standing Committee.
