According to the report on the results of the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2025 of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD), as of May 31, 2025, the whole province has established 46 grassroots trade unions, including 42 grassroots trade unions and 4 trade unions.
The number of additional union members is 17,696 people/37,000 union members (reaching 47.8%) of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Implementing the streamlining of the organizational apparatus according to the Conclusion of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor has terminated the operation of 7 industry unions including: Provincial Civil Servants' Union, Education Trade Union, Agriculture & Rural Development Trade Union, Industry - Trade Union, Construction, Transport and Health.
At the same time, newly establish the Trade Union of Provincial Party Agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union. At the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Organizing Committee and the Inspection Committee's Office were merged into the Organizing - Inspection Committee; the Labor Culture House was transferred under the Provincial Federation of Labor's Office.
In the work of training and fostering trade union cadres, 21 training courses were organized for 15,367 cadres at all levels. Projects on innovation of methods of operation and training and fostering of cadres continue to be implemented according to the plan for the period 2021-2025.
In addition, Party building work continues to achieve positive results. Trade unions at all levels have introduced 1,592 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, of which 576 members have been admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
