The 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened this morning (October 13,) in Hanoi.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Congress was held to review and evaluate the leadership and direction of the Government Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and determine the direction, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 period.
At the same time, they discussed and contributed opinions to the draft central documents to the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Congress is a particularly important political event of the Government Party Committee, a historic milestone in the journey to build a fair, just, action-oriented Government for the country and the people.
The 14th National Party Congress was identified by the Central Committee as the origin of the era of rising up, developing richly, prosperously, civilizedly, happily, steadily moving towards socialism.
The Prime Minister stated that General Secretary To Lam emphasized that we are facing a historic opportunity, a historic opportunity for rapid and sustainable development. However, it also faces a very high demand for revolutionary and scientific breakthroughs, timely grasping trends and bottlenecks in all aspects of social life.
Promoting that spirit, the Congress issued an action motto: "Solidarity, discipline - Democracy, innovation - Breakthrough, development - Near the people, for the people".
In which: Solidarity and discipline are the foundation. Democracy and innovation are principles and methods. Breakthrough and development are goals and requirements. Near the people, because the people are the "people are the root" ideology, the strength comes from the people.
On that basis, the Prime Minister requested the Congress to analyze in depth, forecast the situation and give additional opinions on the directions, tasks, and key solutions in the coming term.
In which the big question is how should we do to build a clean, strong, united, exemplary Government Party Committee in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation?
At the same time, mobilize all resources of the country to accelerate, make breakthroughs, and develop the country in the new context.
Regarding Party building work, the Prime Minister asked what we need to do to closely follow the 5 principles of Party building and the 5 methods of leadership of the Party in all activities, especially the principle of democratic centralism.
In particular, special attention should be paid to cadre work as the key to the key and in the spirit of how to select cadres with virtue, strength, and talent.
What tasks and solutions are needed to both promote creativity, strong, rapid and sustainable development, and strengthen discipline, order, and effectively prevent corruption, waste, and negativity?
Regarding the implementation of key political tasks, what breakthrough solutions are needed to maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, and ensure major balances of the economy? At the same time, it will promote GDP growth by an average of 10%/year or more for many years.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that in the 2025-2030 term, the Government Party Committee is determined to strive to be one of the pioneering and exemplary Party Committees in successfully implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
