Based on careful and thorough consideration, with the spirit of innovation in law-making; innovation in coordination between the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government..., the National Assembly voted to pass 18 laws with a high approval rate, including Laws and Resolutions that are of great interest to businesses, voters and the People such as: Law on Trade Unions (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance; Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; Law on Value Added Tax (amended)...
The National Assembly also considered and passed 21 resolutions. At the same time, the National Assembly also gave its first opinions on 10 other draft laws.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the National Assembly discussed the Government's reports on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2024; reviewed and decided on the socio-economic development plan, the state budget estimate, the central budget allocation plan in 2025 and many reports and projects on urgent issues, serving the national economy and people's livelihood, maximizing resources and development opportunities.

Tight human resources work
One issue emphasized by the National Assembly Chairman is that personnel work has been carried out strictly in accordance with Party regulations and State laws.
The National Assembly elected the President; elected members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Secretary General of the National Assembly; approved the appointment of the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Transport; and judges of the Supreme People's Court; and at the same time carried out other personnel work within its authority and achieved high consensus and unanimity among the National Assembly deputies.
“The National Assembly acknowledges and highly appreciates the determination, tireless efforts and effective innovations in the direction and administration of the Government; the drastic participation of localities, despite the country facing many difficulties, the socio-economic development tasks in 2024 have been basically completed,” the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
In addition, the National Assembly also analyzed and frankly pointed out the difficulties, challenges and shortcomings of the economy and proposed many specific solutions. It is requested that the Government study and absorb the opinions of the National Assembly deputies to promptly and effectively implement the commitments made to the National Assembly, voters and people nationwide.
Continue to closely follow the practical situation, improve the capacity to analyze, forecast, and respond to policies promptly, have effective solutions, and strive to achieve the highest level of the 2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan and the goals and targets set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.
At the same time, regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of policies after promulgation to promptly adjust, supplement and amend; proactively, actively and urgently build a legal corridor with new issues and new trends, creating breakthroughs in national development.

The National Assembly Chairman said that, preparing to enter 2025, a year of great significance in successfully implementing the tasks of the 2021-2026 term, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the National Assembly Office, and agencies under the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee will continue to strongly innovate, urgently arrange and consolidate the "lean, compact, strong" organizational apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, associated with restructuring the contingent of cadres with sufficient qualities and capacities to meet the tasks.
