On the afternoon of February 7, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Secretariat organized a national conference to study, study, thoroughly grasp and implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.
At the conference, Mr. Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, reported on the topic "Overview of 100 years of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution (1930-2030), orientations for leading the country's development in the next 100 years (2030-2130) and Summary of 40 years of implementing the Platform for building the country in the transition to socialism period (1991-2031)".
Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan said that this is a "cent-year summary", which has the meaning of affirming the leading and ruling role of our Party throughout the historical process.
Regarding the goal of summarizing and comprehensively objectively assessing the 100-year process of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution in all periods and fields, both achievements and limitations; crystallizing strategic leadership knowledge in national development in the new era.
According to Mr. Doan Minh Huan, summarizing, generalizing, and elevating lessons learned into issues of law of the Vietnamese revolution over 100 years; taking the knowledge summarized from the first 100 years as a foundation to transform into a vision, orienting the development model in the second 100 years.
At the same time, orienting the construction of a rich and reliable digitalized knowledge and data system on Party history, serving revolutionary tradition education, political theory education, and providing scientific arguments for the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation in the new context.
Regarding the requirements for summarizing, it is necessary to closely follow the viewpoints and unified directions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on summarizing; ensure the correct nature of summarizing both in theory and practice; ensure objectivity, comprehensiveness, and science; have evidence based on verified reliable sources of data; have focus and key points; focus on summarizing major lessons of the laws of the Vietnamese revolution; highlight great achievements;
Proposing strategic recommendations, transforming rule-of-law issues into vision orientations, models, and development paths for Vietnam in the next 100 years, ensuring inheritance, creativity and efficiency, promoting democracy and inheriting the results of previous summaries, and promoting democracy in summaries.
Regarding the summary content, it includes three major parts, including the content: The Party leads the country's development to 2045 and the vision for the second 100 years (2030-2130); forecasting trends, development potentials, and evolutionary forms of the development model from 2030 to 2130; transforming the rule-of-law issues of the first 100 years as a basis for determining the vision and direction of the development model, associated with the phasing of stages in the second 100 years on the path to socialism;
Identify the goal of developing the country to the middle of the 21st century and the vision for the next 100 years; propose mechanisms, methods, and models to realize the goal, vision, and direction of national development to 2130.
Regarding the summary of 40 years of implementing the Platform for building the country in the transitional period to socialism (1991-2031), according to the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, stemming from the role and function of the Platform in designing the country's development model in the transitional period, with its inherent characteristics and major orientations, both defining striving goals and being the basis for maintaining the socialist orientation and preventing deviations.
The platform has long-term value, but due to the movement of practice, there are contents that exceed the ability to forecast. Therefore, summarize to supplement and develop to suit the new context.
