The City People's Committee issued Decision No. 1256/QD-UBND to establish the Steering Committee for National Target Programs (NDTPs) of Da Nang City, period 2021-2025, headed by Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.
The Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung in charge of the National Target Program on New Rural Development; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan in charge of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the National Target Program on Socio-economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas.
The City Steering Committee has the function of assisting the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee in directing, operating, and resolving general tasks related to the management and implementation of National Target Programs in Da Nang City for the period 2021 - 2025 and preparing for implementation in the period 2026 -30.
The City Steering Committee is responsible for assisting the Chairman of the City People's Committee in directing and coordinating activities between Departments, branches and communes and wards in implementing National Target Programs.
Research and propose the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee to issue policies and solutions to effectively implement the National Target Programs in the city in the period of 2021-2025; direct and urge Departments, branches and communes and wards to summarize and evaluate the implementation results of the National Target Programs in the period of 2021 - 2025; prepare for implementation in the period of 2026 - 2030. Carry out other tasks assigned by the City People's Committee and the Central Steering Committee.
The Department of Finance is the standing agency of the City Steering Committee; responsible for monitoring and synthesizing the National Target Programs in the city.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is the agency in charge of advising on the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development and the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the city.
The Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions is the agency in charge of advising on the implementation of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in the city.
