On February 13, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and a working delegation visited and wished Tet to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services at Long Dat War Invalids and People with Meritorious Services Nursing Center (Long Hai commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
Currently, Long Dat War Invalids and People with Meritorious Services Nursing Center (Center) is nurturing and treating functional rehabilitation for 44 wounded and sick soldiers from provinces and cities across the country.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the dedicated spirit and quality of care and service of the team of doctors, nurses, staff at the Center; requested the unit to continue to promote to take good care of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services; coordinate well with agencies, units, and local authorities to seek support and help, and best promote the role of the Center.
On this occasion, General Nguyen Trong Nghia also inspected and wished Tet to officers and soldiers of Minh Dam Regiment (Ho Chi Minh City Command) in Long Dien commune. The General assessed that Minh Dam Regiment has strictly implemented the regulations and directions of superiors; closely coordinated with units and localities to do well in mass mobilization and social security work, practically caring for the material and spiritual life of soldiers and people in the area. At the same time, he requested the Regiment to actively accompany localities and forces to ensure that people celebrate Tet happily and safely; well implement national defense tasks; thoroughly grasp and effectively implement emulation movements, focusing on the contents of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
Previously, General Nguyen Trong Nghia and the working delegation offered incense and flowers at the Temple and Monument, Memorial House of Heroic Martyr Vo Thi Sau (Dat Do commune); offered incense at the Temple of Heroic Martyrs at Minh Dam Base Area (Phuoc Hai commune).
