On June 23, a representative of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee said that Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung has just signed and issued a plan to organize the Ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units; the decision to establish the new Provincial Party Committee and provincial leadership personnel in Dak Lak.
Accordingly, at 8:00 a.m. on June 30, Dak Lak province will organize a provincial merger event at 10/3 Square (Buon Ma Thuot city).
The ceremony was attended by: Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung and the Central working delegation, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches... and people of the two provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, this is an important political event, a turning point, marking the results of efforts in leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
The event demonstrated the active contribution and consensus of the people in implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus of the Party and State, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 18.
Thereby, propagating and disseminating the National Assembly's resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units and implementing documents of the Central and the province so that cadres, Party members and people can clearly understand, actively implement, and agree on implementation to achieve high efficiency, creating motivation to continue to successfully carry out local political tasks, prepare and organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee also proposed that the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City invite 100 people, the Party Committee of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee invite 50 people from localities to attend this event.
According to the project, Dak Lak province will merge with Phu Yen province to name Dak Lak province. The administrative headquarters is located in Buon Ma Thuot city.
After the merger, the new Dak Lak province has an area of over 18,000km2 and a population of over 3.3 million people. Dak Lak will become one of the provinces with the largest natural area in the country.
