On the afternoon of July 7, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to announce the situation and results of public security work in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks for the last months of 2025.
Responding to press questions regarding the investment in the construction of 2 projects, Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, representative of C03 said that based on the investigation results on June 2, 2025, C03 has prosecuted the case of violating regulations on management and use of public assets causing loss and waste according to Article 219 of the Penal Code; prosecuted 5 defendants including:
1. Dao Xuan Sinh - Director of SHT Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company.
2. Tran Van Sinh - Head of the Technical and Technical Department of the Expected Management Board of Key Economic Projects, Ministry of Health.
3. Nguyen Huu Tuan - former Deputy Director of the Management Board of Key Medical Projects, Ministry of Health.
4. Nguyen Chien Thang - former Director of the Management Board of Key Medical Projects, Ministry of Health.
5. Nguyen Kim Trung - former Deputy Director of the Management Board of Key Medical Projects, Ministry of Health.
The above 5 defendants were all prosecuted for violating regulations on management and use of State assets, causing loss and waste according to Clause 3, Article 219 of the Penal Code.
The above behavior initially determined that the subjects caused 80 billion VND in damage and wasted 770 billion VND.
The Economic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) has been continuing to expand the investigation and recover assets according to the provisions of law.
