Colonel Le Van Son - Commander of the Military Command of Dien Bien province was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 2. Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem - Commander of the Military Command of Hoa Binh province, Military Region 3 was appointed to the position of Commander of the Military Command of Dien Bien province.
Speaking on receiving the assignment, Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem was determined that in his new position, together with the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command, he would build solidarity and unity, do a good job of advising the Party Committee, local authorities and military regions on military and defense tasks, and the work of building a national defense, associated with people's security and civil defense.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Xuan - Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 hoped that in their new positions, Colonel Le Van Son and Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem would continue to promote and inherit the achievements of the armed forces in recent years, together with the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command, to play a good role in advising the locality to build a national defense.
