This is the first time the National Assembly Standing Committee has organized a National Assembly Forum on supervision activities with the theme "National Assembly supervision to create development".
The organization of the Forum aims to deploy the spirit and orientation of innovating supervision activities according to the Resolution of the Central Committee and the Project and Conclusion of the National Assembly Party Delegation (now the National Assembly Party Committee) on innovating the supervision activities of the National Assembly.
At the same time, comprehensively assess the National Assembly's supervision activities in recent times, especially the improvements and innovations; issues raised in the practical implementation of supervision activities.
From there, propose solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the National Assembly's supervision activities to accompany the Government in creating and developing the country.
Especially in the context of streamlining the organization of the administrative unit arrangement and organizing the 2-level local government model; focusing on implementing the Central's policies and resolutions in reforming and innovating, creating strong momentum for the country to develop.
Concluding the session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong noted that it is necessary to closely follow the Central's policies and resolutions on the "four strategic ministries".
In particular, with the target of growth of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the period of 2026 - 2030, what tasks in supervision to pave the way for development need to be removed, what content should be paved, how to supervise to create a new development and growth model?...
Regarding Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW on innovation in law-making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that this breakthrough must be linked with the supervision of the National Assembly.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on supervising administrative procedure reform, decentralization, and complete decentralization of power in the spirit of "locality decides, locality does, locality is responsible" which is also requiring the supervision of the National Assembly.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that it is necessary to focus on the new viewpoints of the Central Committee on innovating the supervision activities of the National Assembly.
In which, the scope and subjects of Supreme Supervision are regular, mainly and suddenly; innovate supervision of legal documents; innovate thematic supervision activities to "not ride horses to see flowers, not cause trouble to subordinates", increase questioning and answering questions; improve the quality of explanation sessions of the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly Committees.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly assigned the Economic and Financial Committee, the Petition and Supervisory Committee to preside over reviewing the contents to meet the requirements of the Forum.
