On the morning of October 5, the 1st Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, officially opened. Attending and directing were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, and the Central working delegation.
The Congress has 448/449 delegates called up to attend, ensuring conditions for the Congress to conduct according to the Party Charter and related regulations. The delegates represented more than 128,700 party members of the entire Provincial Party Committee.
The working session opened with flag-raising rituals, stabilizing the organization and announcing the working results of the lull session on the afternoon of October 4.
The morning program took place according to the approved scenario: stating reasons, introducing delegates; the provincial youth delegation congratulated the Congress; reporting the results of the examination of delegate qualifications; presenting the Political Report of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and the review report.
In the discussion section, the presentations will focus on key contents such as: attracting and implementing energy projects to turn Quang Tri into a center for electricity and renewable energy in the region; building a team of cadres to meet the requirements of the new period; effectively operating the 2-level local government model, close to the people, close to the people, serving the people.
In the afternoon, the Congress continued to discuss in groups and halls; through a report summarizing comments contributed to the political report and comments on draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.
The Congress also heard the announcement of the Politburo's decision on appointing the Provincial Party Delegation to the 14th National Congress of Delegates, along with contents related to personnel according to its authority.
