On the morning of November 9, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of boarding schools for primary and secondary schools across the country took place in the border communes across the country. In Lam Dong province alone, 2 schools have started construction in 2 land border communes (Quang Truc and Thuan An).

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the Thuan An Primary and Secondary Boarding School were members of the Party Central Committee - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc; members of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of Lam Dong Y Provincial Party Committee Thanh Ha Nie Kcem; Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi; representatives of central ministries and branches; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, armed forces and local governments.

In Quang Truc commune, the groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Mr. Luu Van Trung - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; along with representatives of the leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Lam Dong province; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, armed forces of the province and local authorities.

The groundbreaking ceremony is an event of profound political - social and humanitarian significance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to compatriots and soldiers, especially students in border areas, which are considered the gateway to the Fatherland.

This is an activity aimed at ensuring fairness in access to education, narrowing regional differences, improving social security and strengthening national defense and security in border areas.

In Lam Dong, 2 inter-level boarding schools for primary and secondary schools (Thuan An commune and Quang Truc commune) invested by Lam Dong Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3, with a total investment of 441.88 billion VND.
Of which, Thuan An Primary and Secondary Boarding School has a total construction cost of 225.94 billion VND and Quang Truc Primary and Secondary Boarding School has a total construction cost of 215.94 billion VND.

The scale of each school is 30 classes, aiming to open up opportunities to meet the learning and training needs of about 1,050 students/school in the border areas of Thuan An and Quang Truc communes.

Currently, Lam Dong province has 5 border communes including Tuy Duc, Quang Truc, Thuan An, Thuan Hanh and Dak Wil, with 47 educational institutions.
Of which, there are 18 kindergartens, 15 primary schools, 8 secondary schools, 3 inter-level primary and secondary schools, 1 Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities for junior high school and high school.
