At this session, the City People's Council unanimously approved 7 Resolutions, including: policy of merging Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city; policy of arranging commune-level administrative units in 2025; task of General Planning for the construction of the Southern Coastal Economic Zone of Hai Phong.
Delegates also agreed to adopt the Resolution on the list of public non -business services using the state budget in the fields of culture, family, physical training, sports, information, press, publishing and tourism in the city; Support funding for a number of spending tasks in the field of defense and security in 2025; Changing the purpose of using forests to other purposes to implement construction investment projects and business infrastructure of Hai Phong international gateway port and through adjustment of works and projects expected to recover land, the project is expected to change the purpose of rice land use in the city.
In order for the resolutions of the City People's Council to come into life soon, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap requested the City People's Committee to urgently complete the dossier to submit to competent authorities on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and merging Hai Duong province with Hai Phong city; implementing resolutions and decisions of the Central, National Assembly, Government and City People's Council to ensure progress and compliance with regulations.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and socio-political organizations continue to widely propagate to create consensus among cadres, party members and people in the process of implementing the resolutions. The departments, groups of delegates and delegates of the City People's Council actively monitor the implementation process, promptly reflect difficulties and problems, and propose appropriate solutions.
