On the morning of July 1, the People's Council of Quang Tri province, term VIII, 2021-2026, held its first session at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee. This is an important session, marking the beginning of the operation of the local government after the merger of the two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri.
The session is expected to focus on many key contents: announcing the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on appointing leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council (new), including Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Heads of People's Council Committees; deciding to establish People's Council Committees and the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Quang Tri province (new).
The Provincial People's Council will also consider and approve the Resolution on the Project on organizing specialized agencies and administrative organizations under the Provincial People's Committee (new), announce the list of Provincial People's Committee members and decide on plans to hold regular meetings in 2025.
