The Provincial Election Commission presented a report on the results of the election of delegates to the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031.

The session also proceeded to elect key leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council, including the Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Heads of departments.
Along with that is the election of key leadership positions such as: Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; election of People's Assessors of the Provincial People's Court and the Regional People's Court for the new term.
In addition to personnel work, the session will consider and approve many important resolutions, creating a legal basis for the activities of the Provincial People's Council in the new term.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of the 11th Ca Mau Provincial People's Council, requested the People's Council deputies to promote the spirit of responsibility to voters and the people; uphold the spirit of democracy, objectivity, and prudence in considering and deciding on contents under their authority. At the same time, wisely select truly typical comrades with moral qualities, capacity, and high sense of responsibility to be elected to leadership positions of the province in the new term.
