The 14th Party Central Committee Conference opened in the context that the entire Party, people and army are completing the goals and targets of the work for the year and term of 2020-2025 and preparations for the 14th National Congress of the Party.
According to VNA, at the 14th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, the 13th Party Central Committee focused on two major contents, which are: Group of issues on the work of the 14th National Party Congress and Group of questions on Party building and the political system.
In each group of issues, there will be many specific contents, especially in the group of issues on the Work of the 14th National Party Congress.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, General Secretary To Lam stated that time is urgent, work is heavy, and requirements are high, but the more we have to make efforts, take advantage of the moment, work with the spirit of overcoming challenges, overcoming ourselves with strategic thinking and drastic actions for national and ethnic interests, for the leadership and ruling role of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The General Secretary suggested that comrades attending the Conference uphold their responsibility before the Party and the People, promote collective intelligence, be straightforward, constructive, and decisive in choosing optimal solutions for national and ethnic interests as well as in contributing opinions on the contents of the Conference's agenda.
According to the program, the Conference will work until November 6.
